Fitch boys basketball defeats Norwich Free Academy to win ECC Division I tournament title

UNCASVILLE - Xavier Goode scored a game-high 22 points to earn tournament MVP honors and lead top-seeded Fitch past No. 3 Norwich Free Academy, 67-58, to win Monday night's Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I boys' basketball tournament championship at Mohegan Sun Arena.

It was the Falcons' first ECC title since 2004.

Si'kis Reels (18 points) and Cayden Simonds- Gaskin (12 points) both earned all-tournament honors for Fitch (20-3).

Rusean Clahar scored 19 and Joshua Lavoie added 13 points for the Wildcats (13-10). Both also made the all-tournament team.
