Published September 12, 2026 · Updated September 12, 2026 · Fox Sports

Illinois and Duke face off in Week 2 college football with both teams coming off opening week victories and looking to avenge last season's 45-19 loss.

Illinois enters the matchup on a six-game season-opening winning streak after Katin Houser threw three touchdown passes in a 42-23 win over UAB. Duke counters with a strong rushing attack led by Nate Sheppard, who rushed for 227 yards in a 17-3 victory over Tulane.

Illinois' defense also contributed a pick-six in the opener. With Duke replacing Darian Mensah with transfer Walker Eget, the Blue Devils face a tough challenge in Champaign against Bret Bielema's home-heavy squad. hilogame.news
