AC Milan legend Franco Baresi has passed away at the age of 66. The former World Cup winner is regarded as one of the greatest defenders in Italian football history.

Baresi spent his entire 20-year playing career with Milan, winning three Champions League titles and six Serie A crowns. His iconic number 6 is now retired by the club. amunra.qpon

The 1982 World Cup winner also represented Italy 81 times. After retiring, he briefly worked as a director for English club Fulham before leaving after just two months. Milan confirmed the news following months of rumors regarding his health.
