The International Ski Federation (FIS) has chosen Oberstdorf as host for the World Ski Championships in 2031. The German venue received 16 votes compared to six for Planica in Slovenia. FIS President Alexander Ospelt congratulated Oberstdorf on their impressive bid, calling it one of the most iconic places for Nordic skiing in the world.
