Braves Place Acuña Jr. on 10-Day IL

The Atlanta Braves have placed star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring.

Acuña left Saturday night's game against the Colorado Rockies in the second inning after pulling up while running out a ground ball. The five-time All-Star and 2023 NL MVP is batting .252 with two home runs and seven steals in 34 games this season.

The Braves, who owned baseball's best record at 24-10, activated right-hander Spencer Strider from the injured list for his season debut. Atlanta optioned Hunter Stratton to Triple-A and selected outfielder José Azócar's contract to replace Acuña on the roster. cricket-info.homes
