Scotland and England fans face paying four times the usual price for train travel to Boston Stadium. The MBTA has set round-trip fares at $80, compared to the standard $17.50, with tickets going on sale this Wednesday.
Paul Goodwin of the Scottish Football Supporters Association described the hike as "totally out of order," noting the venue is 22 miles from the city center. Parking at the stadium also starts at $175, adding to the financial burden for traveling supporters.
