WNBA Celebrates New CBA at NCAA Final Four

WNBA stars celebrated their newly signed collective bargaining agreement at the NCAA Women's Final Four, showcasing the league's growing momentum and improved player compensation.

WNBA players took center stage at the NCAA Women's Final Four weekend in Phoenix, basking in their recently ratified collective bargaining agreement. The new CBA introduces a revenue-sharing model, significant salary increases, and enhanced benefits for both veteran players and rookies.

WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike emphasized the importance of connecting with college prospects, noting that six UCLA players—WNBA draft hopefuls—led their team to a championship. The agreement includes a rookie salary scale ranging from $290,000 to $500,000 for first-round picks, a substantial increase from previous years. Indiana Fever's Aliyah Boston highlighted the growth of women's sports, stating it's 'at its peak right now' and will continue to thrive.
