Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted his team were "lucky to only lose 2-0" after a lacklustre performance in Paris against the reigning Champions League winners. Despite the defeat, Slot remains hopeful of overturning the deficit in next week's second leg at Anfield.

PSG took the lead through Desire Doue's deflected shot before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled their advantage. However, Mamardashvili made several crucial saves to prevent a heavier defeat, with Slot comparing his performance to Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer. "The moment when we needed Giorgi, he was there for us," Slot said after the match.
