Michigan Beats UConn for National Title

The Michigan Wolverines secured their first national championship in over 30 years, defeating the UConn Huskies 69-63 on Monday in Indianapolis.

Despite an ugly offensive start, the Wolverines outlasted UConn with a crucial late three-pointer from Trey McKenney. Elliot Cadeau led the way with 19 points, while Yaxel Lendeborg added 13 points in his likely final collegiate game.

The Huskies were led by Alex Karaban's 17 points, but their inability to score consistently proved costly. Michigan's victory marks their first title since 1989, cutting down the nets in Indianapolis.
