Díaz Goals Help Bayern Take Madrid Lead

Luis Díaz scored in the 41st minute to give Bayern Munich a valuable lead against Real Madrid in their Champions League quarter-final first leg.

The Colombia international got the better of his former Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold before breaking the deadlock at the Bernabéu. Díaz's goal for Bayern has doubled his goals-per-match average compared to his time at Liverpool.

Bayern headed into halftime with the upper hand in the tie, raising hopes that Díaz's goals could help the German giants win their first Champions League title since 2020.
