Slot responds to Szoboszlai on Liverpool's loss

Liverpool coach Arne Slot criticised for his team's lack of fighting spirit after a 4‑1 loss to Manchester City. He acknowledged a drop in intensity in a key 10‑minute period post‑half‑time.

Following Liverpool's heavy defeat to Manchester City, midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai publicly questioned the team's mentality. Arne Slot replied that while he did not agree with the criticism over the entire match, he did recognise a sharp decline in spirit after the first 10‑15 minutes of the second half, which he said turned a difficult situation into a collapse.

Slot highlighted that the team performed well in the opening half, but conceded rapidly after a throw‑in, and he urged the squad to improve intensity and duelling for the upcoming match against Paris Saint‑Germain.
