Fortunately, FIFA's club protection programme means Barcelona will be entitled to compensation if the Brazilian misses more than 28 days of action.

The injury has caused significant frustration within the club, particularly from manager Hansi Flick, who is unhappy with the risk taken during a meaningless friendly.
