Former Heisman winner Robert Griffin III has been invited to the USA flag football training camps after a strong showing at national trials. He is targeting a spot on the 2026 world championship roster and the 2028 Olympic team.

Former Heisman winner Robert Griffin III was named one of 24 athletes invited to the USA flag football training camps after impressing at the national team trials. The camps, held at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, run from April 16‑19 and May 21‑24, with a final selection in June that will determine the 12‑player roster for the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championships.

Griffin, 36, is eyeing a place on the 2026 roster as a stepping stone to the 2028 Olympic debut of flag football in Los Angeles. The former NFL star hopes to cement his place in the sport’s growing profile and represent the U.S. on the world stage.
