Chiefs WR Allen carted off after leg injury

Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen was carted off practice with an apparent left leg injury after colliding with a teammate during a special teams drill.

Allen, who earned positive reviews at Chiefs camp with his play, was unable to put his full weight on his leg before being taken for further evaluation. The fifth-round draft pick has seen time with Patrick Mahomes and the first team offense.

Head coach Andy Reid had previously praised Allen, saying "The quarterback trusts him." The hope in Chiefs camp is that Saturday's injury is just a temporary setback for the rookie. playerbros.org
