Sale, homers power Braves to 6-0 win over Royals

Chris Sale delivered six strong innings and the Braves homered three times to defeat the Kansas City Royals 6-0 in Atlanta's opening night.

Chris Sale (1-0) allowed just three hits with six strikeouts over six innings, providing a much-needed boost to Atlanta's injury-plagued rotation. Ozzie Albies, Drake Baldwin, and Michael Harris II each homered for the Braves.

Atlanta newcomer Mauricio Dubón drove in two runs with a double in the seventh inning. The victory marked new manager Walt Weiss' first win in the top role since 2016.
